Jose Alentado
Founder and Master Spanish Instructor
B.S. Criminal Justice/Adult Education, Valdosta State College, Georgia
Twenty-two years of law enforcement experience including patrol, vice, narcotics, special operations, SWAT and training. Served as the Program Manager for the Law Enforcement Spanish Training Program for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Received five awards from the Center for work in law enforcement Spanish training, and had program independently evaluated for efficiency and quality. Native Spanish speaker and has broad experience in the practical usage of Spanish in the law enforcement environment.

Ron Bayne
Spanish Program Instructor
M.ed Counseling/Human Relations, Northern Arizona University B.S. Business Management, University of Phoenix A.A. Criminal Justice, New Mexico State University. Ron is a Sergeant with the Scottsdale, Arizona Police Department. He currently supervises in the Patrol Division and is the Spanish Public Information Officer for the Department. Ron is currently working towards his second Masters Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish from the New Mexico State University.

Adam Chacon
Spanish Program Instructor
A 15 year law enforcement veteran, Mr Chacon has served the last ten years with the Urbana, Illinois Police Department. He currently serves in the Patrol Division and as a Training Field Officer, and is the only bilingual hostage negotiator for the Champaign County METRO SWAT. Mr. Chacon is a native Spanish speaker and frequently works with Illinois agencies on cases involving Spanish. He is an adjunct faculty member of the Police Training Institute (P.T.I.) at the University of Illinois, and also teaches for the Illinois Police Corps (Western Illinois University). Chacon works with Partners in Training Consultants, Inc in developing multi-media training materials and resources that support the curriculum and methodology.

Santos Diaz
Spanish Program Instructor
Over ten years of law enforcement experience and over five years of law enforcement Spanish instruction. Mr. Diaz is currently a trooper with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and is assigned to a Post where he has been used as a translator during criminal interdiction stops.In addition to his patrol duties, Trooper Diaz instructs Spanish, officer safety, self defense, physical fitness and firearms at the Oklahoma Highway Patrol academy. He is a member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol TAC-Team. A native Spanish speaker, Trooper Diaz is originally from the state of Jalisco, Mexico. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Bettye M. Dobkins
Spanish Program Instructor
Bachelor's degree in education from Ball State University, Muncie, IN. She is a certified instructor with the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA). Bettye is the Deputy Chief of Police with the Indianapolis, Indiana Police Department and has over twenty-five (25) years of law enforcement experience. In conjunction with other duties, Deputy Chief Dobkins serves as the Chief's executive officer of Latino affairs and assists with Department's Spanish Language training.

Kevan Dugan,
Spanish Program Instructor
Captain Kevan Dugan is a 23 year member of the Pennsylvania State Police. He currentlyserves as Troop Commander of Troop E. He spent 13 years in the Bureau of Emergency and Special Operations as a Lieutenant in charge of the Special Emergency Response Team. He instructs for the National Tactical Officers Association in the area of SWAT Leadership and Decision Making and teaches Spanish classes as an adjunct instructor for the State Police Bureau of Training and Education. Capt Dugan is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and is currently working towards a Spanish teaching degree.

Anthony Easter
Anthony Easter is currently an officer with the Chattanooga, TN Police Department where he works in the Training Division. Prior to his work in law enforcement, Mr. Easter was a Spanish teacher at the Senter School in Chattanooga, TN. He lived in Chile, South America for twelve years and obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Tennessee in Spanish. He also has a B.S. in Theology from Tennessee Temple University, a B.A. in Cross-Cultural Studies from the Tennessee Temple University, and A.S. in Physical Education.

Eric 'Flaco' Jensen
Spanish Program Instructor
A 12 year law enforcement veteran and over eight years of LEO Spanish instruction with Partners in Training Consultants, Mr. Jensen is a police officer and SWAT team leader with the City of South Salt Lake. Currently assigned to patrol, he recently completed a four year assignment with the Metro Gang Unit, where he was awarded the MGU detective of the year. Mr. Jensen is the department Spanish Public Information Officer, conducting investigations and translations. He also teaches extensively at the Peace Officer Standards and Training Academy. Mr. Jensen has lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is frequently requested to assist with community Latino Affairs.

Marie Munday
Spanish Program Instructor
Marie Munday is the Latino-Anglo Resource Officer at the Aspen, CO Police Dept. She has a BA from the University of New York at New Paltz, having spent her Junior year at the University of Seville, Spain. She also has a Master of Arts Degree in Spanish Bi-lingual/Bicultural Studies from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Marie is a sworn officer who provides interpretation assistance to seven law enforcement agencies as well as the Courts, DA's office, and several Health and Human Services. She teaches at Colorado Mountain College, and is a member of the Latino Networking Council, the Rotary Club of Aspen, and President of the Board of Directors of Asistencia para Latinos. She is a graduate of PTC's Instructor program and has taught numerous Spanish training programs.

Douglas C. Nall
Spanish Program Instructor
Doug Nall began his government service with the US Customs Language program at San Ysidro, California as an instructor. He retired as a Customs Inspector after thirty years of federal service, including 25 years on the Mexico border at Nogales, Arizona where he was an inspector in both cargo and passenger processing. He than spent 10 years working as an intelligence analyst for the Customs criminal investigations. He was selected by Customs Service to teach for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in the Law Enforcement Spanish Training Program. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a BA in English Education.

Brandon Thomas
Spanish Program Instructor
Brandon Thomas B.A. Administration of Justice, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale Brandon is a patrol officer with 10 years experience at the Champaign, Illinois, Police Department. Officer Thomas has been interpreting Spanish for several departments in Champaign County. He began training with Partners in Training Consultants, Inc through a local in-service class before going on to the Advanced Total Immersion course in Mexico. Officer Thomas has been certified as a Level I and Level II Spanish Instructor with PITC. He also teaches Spanish to basic recruits at the Police Training Institute (PTI) in Champaign, as well as classes for office personnel. Brandon is a member of the local volunteer fire department, a culture diversity instructor, and bicycle mechanic.

Ronald M. Whitaker
Spanish Program Instructor
Over thirty years of law enforcement experience. Former Patrol Agent, Special Agent, Air Interdiction Officer, Resident Agent in Charge, and Assistant Director; served with the U.S. Border Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration, and U.S. Customs Service. Investigated aircraft smuggling and transportation of controlled substances, worked with officials in Mexico, and fulfilled several lengthy assignments in Peru and other Latin American countries. Handled all management function, including business planning and development, contracts, and employees. Ron attended Utah State University and has lived in Arizona for over twenty years.

Charlene Alentado
Director of Marketing B.S. Criminal Justice, California State University at Sacramento
Responsible for all direct and indirect marketing aspects including Newsletters, brochures, Internet, and marketing seminars. Former police officer, investigator and Special Agent; served with the California Department of Justice and Naval Investigative Service. Developed new training initiatives, refined training programs, and developed marketing tools for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
